Gold medallist in Prosthodontics, former professor and the founder of Beyond Smiles. For 20 years she has led a practice built on one simple idea — keep what is natural wherever possible, and restore what is lost with care.

Beyond Smiles founded in Mumbai
Dr Hetal Turakhia founded Beyond Smiles in 2006 with a clear intention: to offer dentistry that is unhurried, well planned and honest about what each treatment can and cannot do.
She completed her postgraduate training in Prosthodontics — the specialty concerned with restoring damaged teeth and replacing missing ones — at Padmashri Dr D Y Patil Dental College, Navi Mumbai, where she was awarded a gold medal.
Alongside clinical practice, Dr Hetal spent 15 years in dental education as a professor, teaching and mentoring the next generation of dentists. That academic grounding shapes how she plans treatment: carefully, with the evidence in mind and every option explained.
She holds a PG Diploma in Hospital & Healthcare Management from Symbiosis, Pune, which informs how the practice is run — from sterilisation and records to the way appointments and treatment plans are organised — and a Master’s in Laser Dentistry from Vienna University, bringing laser-assisted techniques into everyday care where they genuinely help.
Her clinical focus is diagnosis and treatment planning — prosthodontics, full-mouth rehabilitation and geriatric dentistry. Today she leads a multi-specialty team of 8+ dentists across 7 specialities at Cumballa Hill, Mumbai, in association with DreamDent Dental & Sleep Clinic.
Natural teeth are worth keeping. Where a tooth can be saved predictably — with a filling, root canal treatment or gum care — that is the starting point.
When teeth are damaged or missing, restoration is planned for function, comfort and appearance together — not one tooth at a time in isolation.
Every option is explained with its benefits, limitations, cost and aftercare, so you can decide with confidence.
Dr Hetal personally plans complex cases and works alongside visiting consultants when a treatment needs another specialist.
